How Tokens Work
Tokens are only applied when Beesla returns new results.
How Tokens Work
How Beesla Tokens Are Calculated and Applied
This page explains exactly how tokens are used in Beesla so you can predict costs, avoid surprises, and understand how usage maps to real recruiting activity.
Tokens are simple. If you understand this page, you understand Beesla’s pricing model.
Tokens Are Charged Per Result, Not Per Click
Beesla does not charge based on:
- Seats
- Time spent in the product
- Clicks or views
- Exports or collaboration
Tokens are charged only when Beesla retrieves new data.
Token Costs by Action
Candidate search results
When you run a search:
- Each candidate returned costs 2 tokens
- Candidates are automatically added to your CRM
- Adding candidates to the CRM is free
You are charged based on the number of results returned, not how many you open or review.
Company details
When you request company details:
- Each company costs 1 token
- The company is added to your CRM
- Adding companies to the CRM is free
Company details are independent of candidate searches.
What Happens After Tokens Are Spent
Once tokens are applied:
- Candidates and companies remain in your CRM
- You can review them anytime
- Teammates can access the same data
- No additional tokens are required
Tokens are never re-charged for CRM access.
Example Token Calculations
Search returns 20 candidates
20 × 2 tokens = 40 tokens
Company details requested for 8 companies
8 × 1 token = 8 tokens
Total usage
48 tokens
This is the full cost. There are no hidden fees.
Re-Running Searches
Running a search again will:
- Retrieve new results
- Apply tokens again based on results returned
Even if the role is similar, each search is treated as a new retrieval event.
Review Run History before re-running searches to avoid unnecessary usage.
What Does Not Affect Token Usage
These actions do not consume tokens:
- Reviewing saved candidates
- Reviewing saved companies
- Reopening past searches
- Sharing data with teammates
- Notes, tags, or internal discussion
Once data is retrieved, it’s yours to use.
Why This Model Is Predictable
This model works because:
- Costs scale with results
- Usage is visible
- Teams can control volume through prompts
- Collaboration is free
There is a direct line between “what Beesla did” and “what you paid for.”
